FALLON - Pressure kept the Fallon girls basketball team a step ahead of Dayton all night.

The Lady Wave's full-court press kept Dayton off balance, leading to a 20-3 lead after the first quarter, as Fallon captured a 52-14 3A Lahontan League win on Saturday at Elmo Derrico Gym.

"They were just too strong," Dayton coach Cliff Serawop said. "We weren't able to get (good) shots off. We were off-balance shooting, it was tough to get anything going."

By halftime, Fallon led 36-4 and only scored 16 points in the second half to improve to 4-3 in league and 10-10 overall. With the loss, Dayton falls to 0-7 in league and 6-15 overall.
