Senior lunch menus for the week of Aug. 10

Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Dr.:

MONDAY: Chicken parmesan, zucchini, sourdough bread with margarine, peaches and chocolate pudding.

TUESDAY: Biscuits and gravy with sausage links, tomato juice, apple juice and muffin.

WEDNESDAY:  Philly cheese steak sandwich with onions, pea salad, watermelon and cookie.

THURSDAY:  Chicken strips with honey mustard, cole slaw, and yogurt with strawberries.

FRIDAY:  Seafood louie salad, bananas in orange juice, sourdough bread with margarine and a scone.


Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

MONDAY:  BBQ chicken, broccoli, baked beans, whole wheat roll with margarine, apricots and vanilla pudding.

TUESDAY:  Liver onions or salisbury steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, mexicorn, tomato vinaigrette and peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Meatball sandwich with mozzarella on French roll, green beans with stewed tomato, potato wedges, cottage cheese and pineapple.

THURSDAY:  Tomato soup, lemon baked fish, corn pudding, peas and carrots, whole wheat bread with jam, ginger cookies and spiced apple sauce.

FRIDAY:  Birthday Lunch. Chicken cordon blue, beats, red potatoes, citrus salad, cake and ice cream.


Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane:

MONDAY: Chef salad(turkey,ham,tomato & cheese), salsa and sour cream, Spanish rice and apple crisp.

TUESDAY:  BLT salsa wrap, potato chips, 8-vegetable marinated salad and banana nut muffins.

WEDNESDAY:  Pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes with pork gravy, winter blend veggies, fruit salad and birthday cake and ice cream.

THURSDAY: Roma burger, romaine lettuce, corn on the cob, baked beans and cantaloupe.

FRIDAY:  Philly steak sandwich, baked potato chips, spaghetti salad and sherbet.


Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Ave.:

MONDAY: Grilled chicken bratwurst, whole wheat hot dog bun, hot German potato salad, German slaw, spiced apple sauce, fresh orange sections.

TUESDAY: Lemon Pepper fish, minestrone, soup, corn, whole wheat bread, peaches.

WEDNESDAY:  Beef tip/noodles, stir fry veggies, whole wheat bread, margarine, pears and sherbet.

THURSDAY: Chicken gumbo, red beans and rice, colorful salad, honey dressing, and Chantilly fruit cup.

FRIDAY BREAKFAST 9:30:  Pancakes with margarine and syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage, strawberries, V8 and orange juice.


Storey County Senior Citizens Center, corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

MONDAY:  Pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, chips and watermelon.

TUESDAY:  Chicken taco, Spanish rice, refried beans and corn bread.

WEDNESDAY:  Turkey club sandwich, chips, watermelon and dessert.

THURSDAY:  Bacon cheese burgers, corn on the cobb, and tater tots.

FRIDAY:  Breakfast 10-11 a.m. Cinnamon rolls, eggs, sausage and fruit.


Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way:

MONDAY:  Frito pie, mexicorn, apple sauce, green salad, and Jell-O.

TUESDAY:  Pizza party

WEDNESDAY:  Meat loaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable green salad, roll and ice cream.

THURSDAY:  Chicken noodle soup, french bread pizza, broccoli salad, sherbert and cookie.

FRIDAY:  Birthday dinner 5 p.m. Roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetables, roll and cake.
